As a Wedding Officiant, I have learned a bit about the importance of “Sound” at a Ceremony. While small chapels may have good acoustics, many do not. I have also learned that outdoors, or in a tent sound travels about 10 feet at most. Couples spend much time with their officiant planning a unique ceremony, many times including personalized vows. What a shame if their family and guests are unable to hear them. They also pick out special music when the Wedding Party enters and exits and usually during the signing of the License, and often the system used garbles the music or it is too quiet. I pods in docs are great for some wedding settings, but only in small venues with few guests. While it may cost a bit more to have your DJ at your ceremony, they have the correct equipment to enhance your ceremony with music and sound and because they do this often, they know appropriate levels to play at and when to end a song. They also can adjust levels to accommodate voice levels. Your guests have taken time from their busy lives to share this day with you, let them more fully celebrate with you with the gift of ‘sound’.
