COVID 19 has not only changed the face of weddings in 2020, but in the next couple of years. Many couples have decided to have ‘micro’ weddings and have put off a big wedding ceremony and reception to 2021, others have just decided to postpone until 2021. Both of these decisions as well as couples who originally have decided to marry in 2021, will lead to a ‘double co-hort’ effect. There will be twice as many couples as usual wanting to get married in 2021 and some into 2022. While this may not effect some vendors, who may need to add more staff to accommodate flower arranging, rentals, catering, do’s etc, for some vendors they will simply not be able to accommodate you due to being booked already. These may include the officiant, photographer, and venue.
I have had to turn down a few couples wanting to get married in 2021 due to already being booked on the day and time they had chosen. If there is a particular vendor you are looking for, for your special day, I would suggest booking them now. It may seem early to book for 2021 or 2022, but these professionals can make or break you day. They may not meet in person with you at this time, but I have had many great meet and greets done by Messenger Video, FaceTime, What’s App or the good old fashioned phone.
I wish you lots of laughter and fun in the organizational plans you make for your wedding day, a special day of the wedding and a ‘Happily Ever After’
