Flowers are a wonderful way to brighten up a wedding ceremony. Wether you are decorating a church, back yard, hotel room, or other venue , or making choices for the brides and bridesmaids bouquet, boutineers etc, choosing flowers are an important consideration. Couples getting married, spend a great deal of time deciding on their ‘colours’ and ‘themes’ and what flowers will go with that. Flowers often are imported from tropical islands, cost a fair amount of money and don’t last very long. What if you could preserve them permanently? Many local flower/craft shops offer “Flower Preservation in Resin” as an option. A few still fresh flowers are carefully put in a mold and resin is poured over them. They can be made into paper weights or small shadow boxes. Some craft/shops also offer ways to preserve memorial flowers by drying them and then encasing them in a shadow box. There are online and in person workshops that can assist you in how to do-it-yourself.
