Prior to the wedding the Best Man can assist the groom in the planning of the wedding if requested. Help with travel arrangements for out of town guests and the honeymoon. Be ready to rent or purchase a suit/tux for the ceremony. Make sure your are available for the rehearsal, assist with the rehearsal dinner.Yes you are responsible for the Bachelor Party. Discuss what the groom would like and then keep it within budget and taste of the groom and those attending. On the day of the wedding help the groom get ready. Get tips from the Tux Rental Store on how to properly wear the tux and accessories.
The day of the wedding, make sure that the groom and the rest of the groomsmen are ready and at the venue at least 30 minutes early. You are responsible for the rings. Keep them safe! You will also be a witness to the ceremony and will need to sign the legal documents. At the reception/dinner, it is your job to toast the Maid of Honour and Bridesmaids as well as the Happy Couple. A tasteful story of how you know the groom is welcome. Be prepared to dance with the Maid of Honour as well as greeting guests and making them feel welcome during the ceremony.
Your support towards the Groom at all stages of planning and on the day of the wedding will be much appreciated. Be sure to thank the Groom for the honour once the day has past.
